Workshop: Explore arm-balances and handstand, fun for all levels

In this rewarding workshop you will progress from basic arm balances to experimenting with handstand. John will design the dynamic sequence to warm up the major muscles, build strength in the arms, shoulders and core and to then to move through preparations and on to arm balances and handstand. A key focus will be to activate the bandhas, the energy locks that enable us to safely and more easily move into balances and inversions. Participants will explore their potential and learn techniques to progress with confidence. Variations and modifications will be given for different levels and this sequence will encourage students to build strength and stamina of body, mind and spirit. You’ll be challenged to experiment, with an attitude of fun and joy! The sequence culminates in using restorative inversions to calm both the spine and the central nervous system.
