In a world of fast-paced everything, even our yoga practice can end up reflecting our addiction to busyness, and the fact that we’re often stuck in fast-forward: doing too much, racing through tasks just to tick them off the to-do list, and forgetting to enjoy the journey
This yoga practice is like putting on the mental brakes and shifting into a slower gear, so that we can savour each and every moment from beginning to end. Practicing “slow” yoga is not just about the pace with which we move – it’s a question of purpose. It takes the emphasis off “doing” and puts it more on “being”. We’ll focus less on the poses and more on the in between moments, and in that space, cultivate strength, compassion and inner balance. You’ll experience the ability to be dynamic, yet grounded; present and alert, yet filled with ease and lightness. All levels welcome, but some yoga experience recommended.
