First Light is a locally led movement to create options beyond the medical model of mental health and illness . Through the sharing of their personal stories, they will explore the founding inspirations for the emergence of First Light Community Mental Health Peer Support, what it's aims are and what's on the horizon for Fight Light.
Miriam Latif is the Assistant Director of the First Light Festival Sanctuary - she is an advocate of creating spaces that support and honour all aspects of human experience - especially the challenging ones.
Miriam in particular will talk about their work creating sanctuaries for  those facing extreme states within festival culture
