Acoyoga for life is a modern approach to fitness and heath that allows people to achieve
lasting results from developing the body from the inside out .
Relax, unwind and replenish your vital energy as we explore a meditative yoga sequence, created for deep relaxation and healing. Beginning with soothing Chandra Namaskar (moon salutes), this practice will unwind the accumulation of stress often held in the body, and will create the space to clear tension and opportunities for presence
You’ll pay special attention to the quality of each movement, and move slowly as though you are moving through water. This healing practice will invoke the flow of energetic nectar down the spine, permeating the entire body with blissful energy. One of the greatest pleasures of yoga is Shavasana, the deep relaxation traditionally offered at the end of the class. Coupled with a guided Yoga Nidra, enjoy this practice as a way to be more receptive to your innate inner wisdom. All levels.
Free Like Me bring something fresh and compelling to the Australian music scene and it hasn't taken long for them to create a big buzz. They were awarded best local talent at Splendour in The Grass 2014. They won a place in Blues Over Byron competition to play at The Byron Bay Blues Festival 2014 competing against over 60 bands, and In June 2015 they were played on 4 stages at the world renowned Glastonbury Festival in the Uk.
The band’s founders are British born Lucy Gallant and Venezuelan Daniel Urbina. Their heritage is as eclectic as their music – Lucy being part Burmese, Russian, Irish and Australian whilst the Venezuelan Daniel mixes it up with some Native American ancestry. Perhaps this mash up of cultural backgrounds is what inspires Free Like Me’s blend of world music which is further enhanced by Gallant’s thought provoking lyrics; lyrics that can be uplifting whilst also edging towards something darker - and with titles like Murder and Fire Girl amongst the self titled Free Like Me or Lets go to the Beach you can expect the unexpected! The songs are all original works and Gallant and Urbina are multi talented song writers, musicians (they play multiple instruments) and they produce much of their own music, although along the way have had some help from some pretty great and respected producers!
Gallant’s voice has great dynamic range, smoothly jumping from lows to highs, from delicate to fierce. She is also a talented drummer and plays intricate, high energy rhythms on her Djembe and Cajun whilst singing. Urbina, also a vocalist, is an incredible rhythm and lead guitar player and brings not only a bit of Rock into the mix but has the charisma that really gets a crowd going.
Free Like Me are a band with a mission – they want to bring people together through music that calls for people to be true to themselves, to be free and to be happy. They also just love to play music and that is clear every time you hear them play and every time you find yourself singing one of their songs long after you heard them perform it live!

In a world of fast-paced everything, even our yoga practice can end up reflecting our addiction to busyness, and the fact that we’re often stuck in fast-forward: doing too much, racing through tasks just to tick them off the to-do list, and forgetting to enjoy the journey
This yoga practice is like putting on the mental brakes and shifting into a slower gear, so that we can savour each and every moment from beginning to end. Practicing “slow” yoga is not just about the pace with which we move – it’s a question of purpose. It takes the emphasis off “doing” and puts it more on “being”. We’ll focus less on the poses and more on the in between moments, and in that space, cultivate strength, compassion and inner balance. You’ll experience the ability to be dynamic, yet grounded; present and alert, yet filled with ease and lightness. All levels welcome, but some yoga experience recommended.
